Alaa Aboelwafa is a senior officer at the League of Arab States, specializing in investment, trade, and economic cooperation. With over 15 years of diverse experience, Alaa has led key initiatives supporting economic integration and development among Arab states, collaborating with international organizations such as the UN, EU, and Islamic Development Bank. Previously, Alaa held media and crisis management roles, including as chief editor, media officer, and news anchor. He also teaches political economy and contributes regularly to academic and policy journals. Alaa holds a PhD and master’s degree in political science from Cairo University and is recognized for his expertise in public diplomacy, strategic communication, and policy analysis.
