Dr. Menna El-Abdeeny
Lead Economist – Cabinet of H.E. the Minister of Finance, Egypt

Dr. El-Abdeeny is a lead economist with more than 16 years of professional experience in international economics, trade facilitation, macroeconomic policy, and investment strategies. She workd at the Cabinet of the Minister of Finance, where she prepares high-level economic and technical studies on exports, subsidies, industrial financing, investment policies, and gender-responsive budgets.

She previously served at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, leading Egypt’s official files with the World Bank, WTO, OECD, and UNCTAD. She contributed to improving Egypt’s rankings in international trade indicators, negotiating with global institutions, and advancing industrial and trade partnerships with Arab and African countries.

Dr. El-Abdeeny holds a doctorate degree in International Economics from Helwan University, an MBA from the French University in Egypt in collaboration with ESLSCA Paris Business School, and multiple diplomas in Economics and Public Sector Management.

She has extensive experience in training and capacity building, having delivered programs for government officials, policy analysts, and young professionals. Her international exposure includes conferences and missions in the United States, Switzerland, France, Morocco, Indonesia, UAE, and Kuwait.
